The data on AQI, PM 2.5 , PM 10 , and meteorological parameters were taken from the AirVisual Outdoor Monitor. The air pollutant level of health concern (US EPA, 2014) and statistical analyses of the Spearman-Rank correlation coefficient were used. The result showed AQI, PM 2.5 , and PM 10 recorded the highest levels in the November period and were classified as unhealthy for sensitive groups. The level of pollution in Zliten city is higher than in Tripoli city due to differences in emission sources and area topography. The source of pollution in Tripoli city fluctuated from natural to anthropogenic sources during the periods of the study, and Zliten city was impacted by a natural pollution source.
